OUTAGE ALERT (Thursday, May 28 – 6:00 p.m.) We have approximately 900 outages in Mackinac, Chippewa and Luce counties. Townships primarily affected include St. Ignace (450), Lakefield (300), DeTour (56), Moran (38) and Marquette. Crews have been dispatched. Stay tuned for updates.
***Luce County outage restored at 6:46 p.m. after our crew repaired equipment. For the St. Ignace outage, crews are working to pinpoint matters at our substation. No estimated restoration time. Thank you for your patience.***
***8:30 p.m. update: St. Ignace area – the issue involves a bad underground primary line by the airport. Our crew is trying to isolate and switch line out so repairs can be made. Thank you for your continued patience. ***
10:00 p.m. Crews need to repair a primary line into substation to make repairs. This will cause an additional 300 outages for about 5 minutes. Thank you for your patience with this process. ***
Crew finished locating and splicing in new section of primary line. Outage was restored at 1:55 a.m. ***
