Communications Specialist (Posted September 6, 2018) 

The position of Communications Specialist is open for application. This position is a full time, non-union, exempt, salaried position.

This position carries out internal and external communications for the cooperative and has effective reputation management as its highest priority. In this role, the Communications Specialist represents the cooperative in the community; manages traditional media relations and social media; writes and coordinates production of the member magazine and employee newsletter as well as all other print, digital production and advertising; keeps the website current in content and functionality; and supports the board and senior management in their requirements to effectively present information within and outside of the organization. The Communications Specialist reports to Director of Member Services and Key Accounts.

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or related field and/or 3+ years of demonstrated professional communications experience

• Minimum of two years of managing social media platforms

• Mature communication skills, particularly in the written word, with expertise in AP Style.

• Experience in design, production of collateral in print and digital platforms (including WordPress and SharePoint), using digital design and photo editing software.

• Skilled in digital photography, use of multi-media equipment.

• Experienced user of Microsoft Office product suite.

System Engineer (Posted September 6, 2018)

Cloverland Electric Cooperative is seeking applicants for System Engineer, Dafter Division. The position of System Engineer is open for application. This position is full time, non-union, exempt, salaried position.

Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, the System Engineer is to perform and assist in the design and engineering activities of the Cooperative by applying technical knowledge, sound engineering judgment, and skill, to ensure that the electrical system and engineering processes meet the present and future requirements and is rendering safe, efficient, dependable, and economical service to members, contributing to the attainment of the basic objectives of the Cooperative.

• Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology required. Licensed engineer preferred.

• Minimum five (5)-years of experience in engineering capacity, construction engineering, or operation and maintenance capacity within electric utility distribution or transmission system

• Demonstrate ability in a variety of engineering disciplines including calculating for system loading and fault currents; design, layout and specify, not limited to design and construction standards for meter, station, overhead and underground facilities; monitoring and analyzing voltage, line loss, sectionalizing member installations; cooperative and regulatory rules and regulations; mapping, revenue metering, material selection, environmental stewardship and computer proficient.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Proficient in use of computer hardware, engineering software, and communication equipment.

• Proficient in use or demonstrate ability to develop proficient use in CADD and CAE.
